Overview

“Education and Information Technologies“ is a unique interdisciplinary study programme awarding graduates with a major in education sciences and minor in informatics. It prepares highly qualified professionals in andragogy and applied informatics, who are able to organise online learning, to apply and manage a range of information technologies in a variety of educational and business sectors, to plan and develop technology-based learning content, to organise learning for a variety of lifelong learning target groups, and to set up and manage computer-based systems in enterprises and organisations.
Being delivered online, this programme is a great choice for those who work or are restricted by parental or other duties and have no possibility to travel physically to other countries for studies but still aim to receive a European higher education qualification and diploma.
N.B. This study program does not provide a teacher‘s qualification.

Study mode:

This is a blended study programme with majority of courses delivered online. Synchronous classes are organised meaning that students and teachers meet in real-time. Classes will be held at 17.00 – 19.00 EEST (UTC +3).
N.B. Because of the pandemic situation, all courses are delivered online currently, as there is no possibility to organise face-to-face meetings.

As an education and information technology professional, you will be able to work in a wide range of education and business organisations as a technology-enhanced learning specialist, able to:

- Design, model, implement and manage technology and information systems;
- investigate the conditions for lifelong learning in networks, regions, communities and organisations and the prospects for improving them;
- use a range of digital technologies and equipment to increase access to information, develop an information culture, and apply modern methods of collecting, analysing and organising information;
- design virtual learning environments;
- work and learn collaboratively, work in an interdisciplinary group or team, and coordinate project activities in different age groups.
